Aviation Security Basic Course

Aviation Security Basic Course (often called Avsec Basic)

According to ICAO, the aviation security basic security course is “aimed to guide the development of basic airport security personnel training to enforce, monitor, and apply airport security preventive measures in accordance with locally approved programmes.” This course is a standard course required by ICAO and all states for initial and annual retraining of all security personnel. It will teach all security personnel the identify and handle all threats to the operation of the airport.

Spranza offers two variations of this class; one specific for security personnel who will work at the airport (or aerodrome), the other will target airline security staff. While the information is similar responsibilities will vary based on deployment and the types of threats these two operations are vulnerable to.
